Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out directly if you do not find the answer to a specific question below.

  • Session rates will be discussed during our initial consultation. I recognize that therapy is an investment and for that reason I reserve a limited number of sliding scale slots in my practice.

Please feel free to inquire about any rate adjustments during your initial inquiry and during our consultation.

  • I live in New York City and am licensed to provide therapy services to clients living in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. If you are temporarily in another state feel free to contact me to explore if we can work together.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not directly accept or panel with any insurance companies. However, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage and understand both your benefits and their reimbursement process.

You can find additional information and questions to ask your insurance provider here.

  • Therapy looks different for every individual as each individual’s needs are different. Some seek therapy for brief work to address a specific problem while others seek therapy long term – we will establish your needs and what you’re seeking from therapy from the get go. At the beginning, I require that we meet weekly to ensure a therapeutic relationship is established and to allow you time to implement the tools/strategies we discuss. We will continue to check in periodically to see how you are feeling, progressing and make any necessary adjustments to the frequency of our sessions.

  • Your time is incredibly valuable to me. Together we will identify a weekly session slot, with both of our calendars in mind, to ensure a successful commitment to therapy. This time will be specifically reserved for you with no overlapping bookings on that day/time. Should a conflict arise, I am happy to accommodate any rescheduling needs and kindly ask that you adhere to my cancellation policy.

  • Yes, I maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests to avoid a full-fee charge.

I completely understand that unexpected life events occur and will make every effort to reschedule your appointment within the same week.

Additional details regarding my practice policies will be provided to you prior to booking an intake session.
