Billing & Insurance
JNG Therapy is an out-of-network therapy practice. I do not participate with insurance plans directly, however, you may be eligible for reimbursement on therapy sessions through your out-of-network benefits plan. In my experience, reimbursement rates are generally between 60-90% of the session costs after your deductible is met. My goal is to support you in utilizing the insurance benefits available to you and save on therapy costs.
What this means:
— Session fees are paid directly by the client at the time of session.
— I provide you with a superbill—a receipt that includes the necessary details your insurance plan needs to process your claim.
— You have the choice to submit the superbill yourself, or if you’d prefer to avoid the extra hassle, I will submit it on your behalf as a service to you. Details to be discussed during the free consultation.
I understand that calling your insurance company can feel like a daunting task—navigating the hold times, fine print, and confusing language can quickly become overwhelming and confusing.
To simplify this process, I’ve partnered with Mentaya to help you understand your out-of-network benefit options with ease and clarity. Use the complimentary benefits checker tool below to understand the details specific to your plan.
If you prefer to speak with your insurance representative directly, here are a list of questions to help you get the information you need:
Do I have out-of-network coverage?
Does my out-of-network health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If yes, how much of it has already been met?
Are there any limitations on the number of sessions my plan covers for mental health?
How much will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?
Do I need any prior approval in order to get reimbursed?
Where do I submit the claim form or super-bill to?
How long does the process take from when the claim/super-bill is submitted to when I receive reimbursement?

Payment
Payment is due at the time of each session. Rates will be discussed during your initial consultation. I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots which are reserved exclusively for clients who need financial assistance.
Good Faith Estimate | No Surprises Act of 2022
As of 1/1/22, a new federal law was passed that requires that any patients who are not using health insurance to cover health care or mental health services are to be provided with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) informing them of expected charges for services. This law aims to protect consumers from unexpected charges or health care bills. This act applies to patients who are self-pay or uninsured, so that any bill over $400 more than your GFE is able to be disputed. I will provide each client with a GFE with the intake paperwork before beginning therapy.
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. For questions, concerns or to receive additional information about your right to a good faith estimate please visit this website or call 1-800-368-1019.
